Testing blog post and edit
Lots of frustration with the changes of the blog builder/editor. I have not had to do anything yet to mine. I just tried to leave a comment on the tripod blog and it went a little crazy and made me crazy. So now I'm quite nervous that I might have problems with my blog. Must test this immediatly

preview then edit does not work for me. If I hit edit after preview, the comment screen is blank and I can't even write in it. Next I will test writing more than this textarea has room for.

Ok, the last thing worked. I don't like that my name alway appears in quotes. The 'homepage' field always enters some default url that I used recently without the http and the email always enters the same url to some blog entry id that I used recently.<br>Now to fill the window<br>xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxOh boy -these x's I think just went way off the screen to the right. there doesn't seem to be a way to fill the window other than ..lets me see if this works, yes one must put hard returns or any unbroken line of type will just continue.XXxxxxxxxxxxxx XXxxxxxxxxxxxx XXxxxxxxxxxxxx XXxxxxxxxxxxxx XXxxxxxxxxxxxx XXxxxxxxxxxxxx XXxxxxxxxxxxxx XXxxxxxxxxxxxx XXxxxxxxxxxxxx XXxxxxxxxxxxxx XXxxxxxxxxxxxx

Can I comment later to an earlier comment? Let us see where this ends up. I will try again filling the window. This time I will just repeat this paragraph. Can I comment later to an earlier comment?  No, I cannot comment to a previous comment. And text does not automatically format properly. ie. One has to put in <br> for a new line. I guess a hard return works too.Let me test that again now. I put two returns just before 'let'....no none of it worked. The whole thing disappeared this time when I tried edit again and it returned my own error page superimposed over this page of comments which is all greyed out while one works in this comment window. The window disappeared, my error page showed oddly with the links on it in sky blue.<br> does not work .

How does one get this to format properly? How does one insert line spaces? I have to think of enough to write so that I can then try to make a space. Well, I thought I was typing code in the regular comment window. I opened the html source editor and found that the tags were in those special characters. I've just written over them and put html tags in. Lets see if that works. That would mean having to write in the html editor if you want your stuff to be formatted. Hmm, very practical for all those people who don't want to deal with it. Also all symbols like apostrophes come out in that funny special character code here in the html editor. Ok, let's see if these format symbols work

Another test, another day. I haven't tried any of the editing tags in the comment text box here. There is one called remove formating. No idea what that means. I can't figure out what makes this text window grey like right now, but when it is grey, I can drag a clipping to my desktop or text editor. When it isn't, I can't. The cut, copy, paste buttons only make highlighting disappear. They don't work for me .........Another test, another day....I haven't tried any of the editing tags in the comment text box here. more testing. I may have figured out something about the copy pasting. No it worked like it should from my browser just then. Preview/edit still no dice.

Its over a week since I last tested the blog commenting feature of this updated system. It still doesn't work for me. The preview/edit feature just deletes my entry. I must still return to the main blog page to submit a comment all over again. Have heard nothing on the tripod community blog. At least I was able to drag this writing onto my desktop.
