Knoth at Lincoln Street Center
 
Rockland - Catinka Knoth will give a free demonstration of painting a woodland
scene of deer, in watercolor. Participants may join Knoth at the "Messy Art
Room" studio at 11 a.m.  on Monday, November 1, Lincoln Street Center for Arts &
Education, 24 Lincoln St. Participants will see sumi-e style painting,
wet-in-wet, silhouette style, and negative painting techniques.

 
This accompanies  the five part watercolor workshop series, "Painting Woodland
Animals and Fall Landscapes", that Knoth will teach on Tuesdays 10-Noon,
November 2 - 30, at Lincoln Street Center. Each week will be a different
subject. Possible subjects are deer & moose; chipmunks & squirrels; pheasants,
turkeys, and Canada geese; birches in fall, and crimson blueberry fields. The
class is available by suggested donation of $25 per lesson. Contact Knoth to

Review of some pay as you go phones
Backstory: The little taste I got of a web enabled tracfone gave me the desire for something with plenty of time. Friend told me about StraightTalk. Monthly $30 gives 30 Mb data, 1K calls,1K texts. For a few days I'd need phone time while waiting to correct my landline transfer problem (needs new wiring). Thought the low end phone would be fine but knew I really want to send pics too. The LG290 had been great EXCEPT the battery cover would not go on properly. Had finally gotten it falsely on - that took 3 hours. Instead of $30 as a tracfone, it would be $80 as ST phone. Next was a Samsung slider. That is what I got. Must use querty for web. It is hard. Too much finger arm pressure needed. Camera does much less than the LG. Battery going now too... Still problems tying into Facebook. Saga continues...
