Happy Thanksgiving! Have fun with my Holiday Feast Cats Coloring Page.
Last week in the watercolor class I teach we painted deer. Here is the lesson on drawing and painting deer. For reference material you can use photos of deer. A good source is the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's Digital Library System. We used silhouettes from a very old library book, and drawings from a favorite of mine, Ken Hultgren's The Art of Animal Drawing, a wonderful Dover Publication. At USWFS I found wonderful pen and ink drawings of deer, by Bob Hines. Have fun practicing.
This watercolor of whitetail deer I started last year when we did this lesson. I did a few more touches on it this year.
Here is a step-by-step lesson on drawing some cats looking at Halloween pumpkins.
Happy Halloween!
Does this show as an animation or do you only see a shape that could be the start of a cat's head? It is supposed to be a series of pictures I took during the process of drawing a simple cat.
Well.... after posting this, I saw the finished drawing and no animation.
I recently painted this large watercolor of Owls Head Harbor. I'd done the drawing on the watercolor paper perhaps five years ago. It was an odd route by which I returned to the work - see a large view of the painting and read more about it: Owls Head Harbor, Maine watercolor
More paintings of Owls Head, Maine in notecard sets.
